How do I change the default camera?

If you want to change the default camera, then select a different camera in the camera menu.





How do I choose another microphone?

Choose the microphone you want to use in the microphone menu.






Audio recognition does not work at all. What do I have to configure?

Make sure that you have selected the right microphone in the microphone menu. Also check the sound input settings in the system preferences. If you want to use an external microphone make sure it is connected to your computer.



Audio recognition does not work properly. What can I do?

Audio recognition works best with low ambient noise. Reduce ambient noise (such as background music or talk)  when you want to use noise recognition in TieSight. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the noise recognition using the slider control.



Will external cameras work with TieSight?

You can use every camera which is compatible with your computer. If there are more than one camera connected to your computer make sure the camera you want to use is selected in the camera menu.



Do I need a microphone to use TieSight?

You don‘t need a microphone to use TieSight. But noise recognition won‘t work without a microphone.



I am missing a special tie knot in TieSight. Will TieSight include this knot in a further version?

At the moment TieSight includes ten different knot types. But in further versions there may be more knots.

Can I adjust the sensitivity of the audio recognition to the ambient noise?

You can adjust the sensitivity of the audio recognition using the slider control.

You can change the transparency of the tie image templates in the TieSight properties sheet.
